Psara is a small frontier island in the North Aegean with a proud historical identity. In 2024 it honored the heroes of 1824 by organizing the Psara Memorial Run. In 2025, with the 1st Psara Sports Festival, Psara proved in practice that it can host sporting events with an impact reaching far beyond the island itself.
The Municipality of the Heroic Island of Psara is building on that success — not just one more event, but a comprehensive sports-tourism initiative that evolves year after year.
